Overall Opinion:
Over the years, we’ve personally tried over 200 probiotic supplements and right now, Smart Belly is our absolute favorite.
So why did we like it so much?
As with most of the probiotics in our top 10, all of our testers just felt better, health-wise, in one way or another while taking it.

We love to see these types of numbers when we’re testing out probiotics.
Not only is the balance ideal but it strictly uses strains naturally found in the human gut, so no yeast or SBOs (Soil-Based Organisms).
I’m a fan of all the strains included but some are particular heavy hitters that I want to touch on.
Adult Daily uses Lactobacillus acidophilus, which is a long-term favorite of mine.
It’s one of the most highly researched and noted of the beneficial bacteria and for good reason.
L. acidophilus is a great multitasker and works to help in a number of areas like gut health, immune function, allergy severity, heart health, liver function, pain management, inflammation, and so much more.
Research studies suggest L. acidophilus may help improve blood pressure, lower high cholesterol, and help prevent cardiovascular disease, all of which are incredibly important areas for both men and women.
L. acidophilusis beneficial for those with diabetes and studies show that this particular strain preserved insulin sensitivity in those with type 2 diabetes.
Another incredibly beneficial strain used is Lactobacillus plantarum.

Allergy Concerns
Like most of the probiotics in the top 10, Smart Belly is VERY allergy-friendly.
First, and most importantly, Adult Daily is 100% vegetarian, non-GMO and gluten-free.
Second, it doesn’t have any soy, yeast, eggs, wheat, nuts, iron or shellfish.
Finally, it doesn’t contain any preservatives, artificial colors or flavors.
I love all that!
On the label, it does say it has trace amounts of milk from the fermentation process.
When we contacted the company, they told us these amounts are virtually non-existent and detectable, but since probiotics are often fermented from milk, they wanted to be 100% transparent. For what it’s worth, our lactose-intolerant testers didn’t have any trouble with this product.
Bottom-line, we didn’t experience any allergy concerns with Adult Daily.
