Overall Opinion:

Overall, at 2.5 out of 5 stars, Advocare ProBiotic Restore ULTRA is an average probiotic.

There are a few things I like about this probiotic but also things I don’t like.

I like that it has a pretty solid, multiple-strain probiotic strain profile.

In particular, it uses strains that may help with weight management.

It also has 6 billion cells, which is a great amount for a daily supplement.

It includes fructooligosaccharides (FOS), which is a prebiotic that helps feed the probiotics and keep them alive.

You also don’t have to refrigerate this probiotic, which makes it more stable and convenient.

Now for what I don’t like…

This probiotic is super sales-y and that’s a huge turn off for me.

Trying to purchase it on their website was a total pain.

In order to buy the product, you have to already know an individual distributor or they will help you find one.

I don’t like jumping through hoops and having to go through a person just to buy a product.

This probiotic may cause some side effects and it doesn’t explicitly say if it has any allergy concerns.

It’s also not safe for kids and doesn’t have a satisfaction guarantee.

The directions say to take 1 capsule with water on an empty stomach, 30 minutes or more before a meal.

For a greater effect, they suggest taking 2 capsules daily.

So overall, coming in at 2.5 out of 5 stars, Advocare ProBiotic Restore ULTRA is an average probiotic with some pluses but also some negatives.

The Details:

Ingredients/Strain Profile

Advocare ProBiotic Restore ULTRA has 6 billion cells in 7 probiotic strains.

Of note, I like the use of Bifidobacterium bifidum in the probiotic lineup.

This strain has been researched to show potential boosts in both immunity and digestive function.

It also may help ward off allergies and discourages the production of histamine in the body.

Bifidobacterium bifidum may also help treat diarrhea, especially diarrhea associated with antibiotic use.

This probiotic touts weight management potentials, which could be supported by these 2 strains: Bifidobacterium longum and Lactobacillus rhamnosus.

Lactobacillus rhamnosus has been researched to show reduced food cravings and weight loss compared to control groups.

Some studies show that Bifidobacterium longum may help with weight management, as well.

It may also potentially help reduce seasonal allergies and lower cholesterol levels.

Bifidobacterium longum has anti-inflammatory properties, which may help protect your immune cells so they can mature and function properly.

One strain I’m not a fan of is Lactobacillus casei.

This particular strain has been researched to be rather aggressive and can even overrun the good bacteria in the body.

Allergy Concerns

Advocare ProBiotic Restore ULTRA doesn’t seem to have any allergy concerns listed.

I get a little wary when the company doesn’t explicitly list allergy concerns or what it’s free of.

So if you’re very allergic to something maybe be careful with this one or opt for one that’s certified to be free of that particular allergen.

The other ingredients include: maltodextrin, gelatin, magnesium stearate, ascorbic acid (as preservative), and titanium dioxide.

Price/Value

For 45 capsules, lasting 45 days, it costs $33.95.

When you break it down, that works out to $0.75 a day to take this probiotic.

That’s a fairly average cost for a daily probiotic, perhaps just slightly above average.

I think it’s a decent value for the price.

Side Effects

I did notice some side effects when taking ProBiotic Restore ULTRA.

I had some stomach pain and belly bloating.

It wasn’t horrible but I definitely noticed it.

Maybe keep this in mind if you have a sensitive stomach to begin with.

Guarantee

I couldn’t find any sort of guarantee on the Advocare website.

This is a bummer.

I really like when companies can offer at least something to their customers.
