Overall Opinion:
Overall, at 2.5 out of 5 stars, Sedona Labs iFlora Multi-Probiotic is just an average probiotic.
I like that the capsules are vegetarian, which is a definite perk.
I also like that there aren’t many added ingredients in the formula.
It’s nice when I can pronounce all of the ingredients listed. : )
The addition of the prebiotic FOS is a great benefit because it can help the probiotics survive in your system.
What I absolutely don’t like about this probiotic is that is uses WAY too many probiotic strains and cells.
It uses 16 different probiotic strains and 32 billion cells.
The high amount of each can cause bad side effects and even negate the helpful effects of the probiotic strains.
I personally experienced horrible side effects.
I had horrible stomach cramps, pain and bloating while taking this probiotic.
Not fun…
You also have to take 2 – 4 capsules daily, which is just a pain in the butt in my opinion.
I like when it’s just one and done.
However, the capsules are a bit smaller than average and are easy to swallow.
Overall, at 2.5 out of 5 stars, Sedona Labs iFlora Multi-Probiotic is just an average probiotic because the capsules are vegetarian, FOS is used, and there aren’t many added ingredients however, way too many strains and cells are used, you have to take multiple capsules per day, and the side effects can be very painful.
The Details:
Ingredients/Strain Profile
Sedona Labs iFlora Multi-Probiotic has 16 probiotic strains and 32 billion cells.
Of note, I like the use of Lactobacillus acidophilus.
This particular strain has been researched quite a bit in the probiotic world.
It may help ease symptoms of digestive disorders such as Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) and Ulcerative Colitis.
Lactobacillus acidophilus may also help with gas, bloating, constipation, and even vaginal infections.
One strain I’m not a fan of is Lactobacillus casei.
L. Casei can be quite aggressive and even overrun other friendly probiotics, occupying areas that other probiotics might have taken in the body.
We definitely don’t want that!
Allergy Concerns
Sedona Labs iFlora Multi-Probiotic doesn’t explicitly list any allergy concerns.
This makes me wary sometimes…
If you have any severe allergic reactions, maybe steer clear of this probiotic and opt for one that clearly states any allergy concerns.
The other ingredients include: vegetarian capsule (cellulose), vegetable starch, calcium silicate, and silica.
Price/Value
For a 60 capsule bottle, lasting 15 – 30 days, it costs $14.40.
Depending on how many capsules you take daily, it works out to be $0.48 – $0.96 per day.
When only taking 2 capsules per day, this probiotic is a good value for the price.
When taking 4 capsules, it becomes very expensive.
Side Effects
I got very painful side effects when taking iFlora Multi-Probiotic.
I had horrible stomach cramps, pain and bloating while taking this probiotic.
This formula is very potent and it says to take 2 – 4 capsules a day.
I started with 3 and upped it to 4 and had the worst side effects.
If you have a sensitive stomach, please be wary or find a different supplement for your specific ailment.
If anything, ease into this probiotic and start with 1 daily and gradually increase if you don’t experience side effects.
Guarantee
Unfortunately, I couldn’t find any sort of satisfaction guarantee from Sedona Labs.
This is a huge disappointment.
I really like when companies can provide some kind of guarantee for their customers.
