Overall Opinion:
Overall, I really like TruBiotics as a daily probiotic! There are so many good points to this product, here are the ones I find most important…
First of all, the capsules are easy to take and you only need one a day (my biggest pet peeve is trying to swallow a handful of pills each day!)
They come in a nifty container that’s compact and actually serves a useful purpose! The canister preserves the live cultures and keeps out heat, moisture, light, and air. Another perk is that it doesn’t have to be refrigerated.
I also like the choice of strains used in this probiotic and the fact that it may be gentle enough for children over the age of 3 to take. As always, make sure to check in with your child’s pediatrician first, just to be sure.
The one and only downside to TruBiotics is the allergy concerns, as this product contains milk and yeast.
We see so many people with stomach pain and irregularity that look to probiotics for help (me included), but have milk and yeast allergies!
Overall, TruBiotics is a great daily probiotic that’s quick and convenient and may be very effective with regards to many different digestive issues.
The Details:
Ingredients/Strain Profile
The two strains used in TruBiotics are Lactobacillus Acidophilus LA-5 and Bifidobacterium Animalis BB-12.
We love to see acidophilus in probiotics because it’s been shown to help alleviate stomach discomforts such as bloating, gas, and constipation. This strain additionally may help your body replenish the good bacteria in your digestive tract.
The strain Bifidobacterium Animalis has also been reported to soothe the symptoms of bloating and abdominal pain that come along with Irritable Bowel Syndrome and constipation.
This strain may also support a balanced digestive system, help reduce inflammation, and may ward off harmful illness-causing bacteria.
Allergy Concerns
TruBiotics’ biggest downfall is its allergy concerns.
A big red flag for many is that it contains milk. This is a bummer.
This probiotic also contains yeast, another common allergen.
Other ingredients include: Anhydrous Sugar, Skim Milk, Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose, Yeast Extract, Sodium Ascorbate; Less than 2% of: Insitol, Magnesium Stearate, Sodium Glutamate, Titanium Dioxide (Color)
Price/Value
TruBiotics costs about 66 cents a day, which falls right in line with the average price for probiotics.
It’s nice to see a good-quality, daily probiotic that isn’t ridiculously priced.
In my opinion, this product is a great value for the money.
Side Effects
I saw no side effects while taking this daily supplement.
A great plus!
Guarantee
Unfortunately, we didn’t see a specific guarantee on the TruBiotics website.
