Overall Opinion:

Overall, at 2.5 out of 5 stars, I think Dr. David Williams Probiotic Advantage is just an average probiotic.

I really want to like it more but a few things get in the way.

First off, it’s very expensive.  Almost $30 for a bottle and it may only last you 15 days.  That’s really pricey in my opinion.

Second, it’s not allergy friendly.  The caplets contain MILK, which is a big bummer.

The third problem is that you may have to take more than one caplet a day.  I like it better when you only have to take one.

Another thing is that if you want to keep the caplets at their maximum potency, you need to refrigerate them after opening.

So those are the things I don’t like, but here is what I do like.

The caplets are SO small.  They look like tiny round pieces of candy.

I found them easy to get down, so that was a plus.

I like this probiotic as a daily supplement because 2 billion cells in 7 different strains is a solid yet gentle dose.

This product also has an awesome, 90-day money back guarantee.

So overall, I think it’s an average probiotic that may work well as a daily supplement and is easy to get down if you can get past the high price and lack of allergy friendliness.

The Details:

Ingredients/Strain Profile

There are 7 probiotic strains with 2 billion cells per caplet in Dr. David Williams Probiotic Advantage.

Of note, I like the use of L. acidophilus because it is a very solid strain, in my opinion.

This particular strain has been researched quite a lot and has been shown to help with stomach disorders such as Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) and Crohn’s Disease.

This strain may also help alleviate uncomfortable belly trouble such as gas, bloating, constipation, and diarrhea.

It may also help boost the immune system.

Another strain I like in this probiotic profile is B. longum.

This strain has been shown to possibly help with Ulcerative Colitis and balancing out the bacteria levels in the body.

It may also help reduce overall inflammation and lower high cholesterol levels.

Allergy Concerns

Dr. David Williams Probiotic Advantage is not allergy friendly because it contains MILK.

The bottle states that it only has trace amounts of milk protein from the process of manufacturing.

And that it is safe for those who are following lactose free diets.

I would take this with a grain of salt…

I suggest you steer clear of this probiotic if you have milk allergies and opt for a 100% lactose free probiotic.

The other ingredients in the caplets are: Microcrystalline cellulose, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, pectin, sodium carbonate, stearic acid, guar gum, turmeric (color).

Price/Value

The price for a 30-caplet bottle is $29.99.

The directions say to take 1 – 2 caplets per day.

It ends up being a daily cost of $0.99 to $1.99.

Frankly, I think this is really expensive.

Almost $2.00 a day to take the full dosage is too much in my opinion.

Even one caplet a day for $1.00 is a little higher than average.

So either way, I would’ve liked to see a lower price.

Side Effects

I didn’t experience any side effects while taking Dr. David Williams Probiotic Advantage.

I was good to go from the very beginning, which made me a happy camper.

These caplets seem to be gentler and more suited for everyday use.

Guarantee

Dr. David Williams Probiotic Advantage has an awesome guarantee.

They offer a 90-day, 100% satisfaction guarantee.

If you’re not completely happy with the product, you can get a full refund.

I love when companies have guarantees like this.
