Overall Opinion:

Overall, at 2 out of 5 stars, Dr. Tobias Deep Immune Probiotics is a below average probiotic.

I wanted to like this supplement more but some things really got in the way of that.

The only things I like about it are that you don’t have to refrigerate the capsules.

This makes it easy to store and more stable.

The other plus is that the capsules are acid resistant.

This is so that your stomach acid doesn’t kill the bacteria before they can get to work in your body.

So for what I don’t like about this product…

First and foremost, I just didn’t see ANY difference while taking this probiotic.

Normally, I can at least see some improvement.

I have IBS and probiotics are the main thing that helps the stomach ailments and symptoms.

So when I take a probiotic that doesn’t do any good, my IBS symptoms are horrible!

Not only did it not help, but I actually felt worse. : (

The capsules gave me side effects and I had bloating and stomach pain.

This probiotic is also only for adults 18+, so it’s not safe for kids.

You also have to take 2 capsules daily with food (I prefer only taking 1).

Deep Immune Probiotics uses a probiotic booster, “PreforPro®”.

It consists of 4 bacteriophages: LH01 – Myoviridae, LL5 – Siphoviridae, T4D – Myoviridae, and LL12 – Myoviridae.

I’m not sure if these bacteriophages led to my side effects or if it was a particular probiotic strain, such as Bacillus Coagulans.

Regardless, the side effects and lack of beneficial effects, was a total bummer and bellyache!

Overall, at 2 out of 5 stars, Dr. Tobias Deep Immune Probiotics is a below average probiotic because it caused side effects, didn’t help my stomach issues and is only safe for adults 18+.

The Details:

Ingredients/Strain Profile

Dr. Tobias Deep Immune Probiotics has 4.4 billion CFU in 4 different probiotic strains.

Of note, I like the use of Lactobacillus acidophilus.

This is a tried and true probiotic strain that is commonly used in many probiotic supplements.

It has been researched quite extensively, as well.

Studies show that it may be able to help reduce Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) symptoms such as abdominal pain, gas, diarrhea and bloating.

A particular strain that’s used, Bacillus Coagulans, I’m actually not a fan of.

It can create spores in the body, which I think might cause some side effects for some people.

(It definitely causes side effects for me personally!)

However, Bacillus Coagulans may be able to help with diarrhea and traveler’s diarrhea.

It may also help boost immune function.

Allergy Concerns

Dr. Tobias Deep Immune Probiotics doesn’t explicatively state if it has any allergy concerns.

I don’t like when products don’t outright tell you if there are allergens or not.

It also says that it’s manufactured in a facility that may also process milk, soy, wheat, egg, peanuts, tree nuts, fish, and crustacean shellfish.

So if you have any severe allergies, I’d suggest steering clear of this particular probiotic.

The other ingredients include: vegetable cellulose (DRcaps ®), maltodextrin and medium chain triglycerides.

Price/Value

For 60 capsules, lasting 1 month, it costs $22.97.

Since you have to take 2 capsules daily, this works out to be $0.76.

I would say this is slightly above average for a daily probiotic.

I think there are better values out there for your money.

Side Effects

I found it strange but I did see side effects while taking this probiotic.

Usually I see side effects when the product is really potent or has allergy concerns.

This product is only 4.4 billion CFU, so it must be some of the added ingredients they use or potential allergens.

I experienced stomach pain and bloating.

Not fun! :(

Guarantee

Unfortunately, I couldn’t find any sort of satisfaction guarantee on Dr. Tobias’ website.

This is a huge bummer.

I really like when companies can back their products and offer at least something for their customers.
