Overall Opinion:

Overall, I gave Healthy Origins Probiotic 30 Billion CFU’s 3 out of 5 stars, so I think it’s better than your average probiotic.

One main reason I like this probiotic is because it’s very natural.

It’s doesn’t contain any artificial ingredients like flavors, colors, or preservatives.

I definitely like when companies skip the “junk” and keep a product pure.

It’s also very allergy friendly.

It’s free of wheat, gluten, soy, fish, shellfish, peanuts, eggs, and milk.

The capsules are also a bit smaller than average and were easy to swallow.

The directions say to take 1 – 2 capsules daily, either before or with a meal.

This probiotic is also shelf stable and formulated to survive your harsh stomach acid.

Another unique feature with Healthy Origins Probiotic 30 Billion CFU’s is that it actually lists the cell count for each strain used.

This hardly ever happens, but I really appreciate it!

Lactobacillus acidophilus (La-14) and Bidobacterium lactis (Bl-04) both have 12 billion CFU’s and the remaining 6 strains all have 1 billion CFU’s.

There are a few things I don’t like about this probiotic.

One is that it goes a little overboard on the CFU’s.

30 billion is rather high and especially if you take 2 capsules per day, you’re then at 60 billion cells!

That’s why we suggest taking this for a specific ailment and not as a daily probiotic.

The high cell counts can lead to side effects such as gas, bloating, and stomach pain.

Another thing I don’t like is that Healthy Origins doesn’t provide any kind of money back guarantee.

This is a bummer.

However, as a whole, I think Healthy Origins Probiotic 30 Billion CFU’s has a lot of good qualities and gets 3 out of 5 stars.

The Details:

Ingredients/Strain Profile

Healthy Origins Probiotic 30 Billion CFU’s has 30 billion cells (as the name suggests) in 8 probiotic strains.

Of note, I like the use of Lactobacillus acidophilus in the probiotic lineup.

This strain makes up the majority of the CFU’s in the probiotic, coming in at 12 billion cells.

Lactobacillus acidophilus is a friendly bacterium that is naturally found in the body, mainly in the intestines and vagina.

It’s been shown to help prevent diarrhea, lactose intolerance, skin problems, vaginal infections, and Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) symptoms.

One strain I’m not a fan of is Lactobacillus casei.

This particular strain has been shown to be aggressive and can even overrun the good bacteria in the body.

Allergy Concerns

Healthy Origins Probiotic 30 Billion CFU’s doesn’t have any allergy concerns.

It’s very allergy friendly, which I love!

This probiotic does not contain any:  wheat, gluten, soy, fish, shellfish, peanuts, eggs, or milk.

As a perk, it’s also free of any GMOs, artificial colors, artificial flavors, or preservatives.

The other ingredients include: Microcrystalline Cellulose, Vegetable Capsule (HPMC, Water), Magnesium Stearate, and Silicon Dioxide.

Price/Value

For 60 capsules, lasting 1-2 months, it costs $25.99.

Depending on if you take 1 capsule or 2 per day, it ends ups being a daily cost of $0.43 – $0.86.

If you only take 1 capsule per day, it’s incredibly affordable and much cheaper than average.

If you prefer to take 2 capsules daily (which you might not have to since this is a pretty potent probiotic), it ends up being a little on the higher end.

In either case, I think it’s a good value for the price.

Side Effects

I didn’t notice any negative side effects when taking Healthy Origins Probiotic 30 Billion CFU’s.

I was happy about this!

However, this is a fairly potent probiotic with 30 billion CFU’s.

Keep this in mind or if you tend to have a sensitive stomach.

Some potential side effects are gas, bloating, and belly pain.

Guarantee

I wasn’t able to find any kind of guarantee on the Healthy Origins website.

It has a “contact us” page and that’s about it.

It doesn’t reference any money back guarantee or even a return policy.

This is a bummer.

I like when companies can provide at least something for their customers.
