Overall Opinion:
I really like Olly Balanced Belly and gave it 3.5 out of 5 stars.
This probiotic is definitely better than average and has a lot of good qualities.
However, there are a few things that keep me from rating it higher.
Let’s start off with what I like about it.
First and foremost, it’s a gummy and it’s hard not to adore gummies.
The perk with this one is that it’s actually really yummy.
It has a peach flavor and tastes pretty darn close to an actual gummy candy, maybe even better.
Thankfully, it’s not super sweet or overpowering.
With a lot of gummy probiotics, they end up tasting like medicine or are hard to chew.
This one is soft and really easy to eat.
Another thing I like is that this probiotic doesn’t have a bunch of weird additives or fillers.
With gummies, they normally add in less than ideal ingredients to give it texture and taste.
Instead, Olly Balanced Belly uses water, cane sugar, and gelatin to make up the bulk of the gummy.
It’s also super convenient because you don’t have to refrigerate it or take it with water or food.
Just take 1 – 2 gummies per day and make sure you chew thoroughly before swallowing.
This probiotic also utilizes a prebiotic blend, which are special dietary fibers that help feed friendly bacteria.
It also has 1.5 grams of fiber per gummy.
Now for what I don’t like…
My biggest problem with this probiotic is that it just isn’t diverse or very strong.
It only has 500 million CFU per gummy, but you bump up to 1 billion when you take 2 (which is a little more effective).
However, it just uses one strain, Bacillus coagulans, which I’m actually not a huge fan of because it may create side effects for some people.

The strain used is Bacillus coagulans.
This strain has been shown to help with bloating and stomach pain associated with patients who have Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) and inflammatory bowel disease.
It’s also suggested to increase immune response, prevent diarrhea, and balance out bacteria levels in the body.
However, I’m not a huge fan of this particular strain because it’s been known to create spores in the body.
These spores can lead to uncomfortable side effects such as gas, bloating, diarrhea, and belly pain.
This probiotic also uses a prebiotic blend of Fructooligosaccharides – FOS, Xylitol, and Inulin.
These are special dietary fibers that feed the good bacteria in the body and are resistant to cold, heat, acid, and time.
They also help soothe digestive disorders and inflammatory bowel diseases.

Olly Balanced Belly is very allergy friendly.
It’s free of all the major allergens, which I really appreciate!
The only potential allergen is gelatin.
It’s not a super common allergen but it does exist.

It’s a great price for the value if you stick to the lower daily dose.
Side Effects
When I took 1 – 2 gummies per day, as directed, I didn’t experience any side effects with Balanced Belly.
However, since this probiotic isn’t that potent, I took a few extra gummies.
When I did this, I did see some slight bloating and belly pain.
If you take as directed, you should be good to go but refrain from taking more than 2 gummies per day.
