Overall Opinion:
I give Nature’s Bounty Acidophilus Chewable Probiotic 1.5 out of 5 stars because it’s definitely not my favorite supplement.
There are a few things I like about this probiotic.
One is that you don’t need water to take this supplement because it’s a chewable wafer.
The wafers are strawberry flavor and they look and taste like TUMs.
They aren’t horrible tasting but they are definitely sweet.
I also love how allergy friendly this probiotic is.
There are no allergens listed and this makes me very happy!
It’s free of milk, lactose, soy, gluten, wheat, sodium, and fish.
I didn’t see any negative side effects while taking this probiotic.
Now for what I don’t like about this probiotic…
Although it’s convenient that you don’t need water to take this probiotic, it’s lacking convenience in other ways.
You have to refrigerate it after you open the bottle.
This is a total pain and I thought rather odd because other chewable probiotics I’ve tried didn’t need to be refrigerated.
Also, you have to take 3 wafers per day.
I really prefer when it’s just one and done.
I wish this probiotic were more versatile with probiotic strains and more CFU.
It wasn’t strong enough to really help with my stomach issues such as Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), bloating, and constipation.
A few other things I don’t like are that there’s no satisfaction guarantee offered and the CFU are only guaranteed at the time of manufacture.
Overall, I wasn’t impressed with this probiotic.

Ingredients/Strain Profile
In each wafer, there are 1 billion CFU and it comes in 2 different probiotic strains.
The first strain is Lactobacillus acidophilus, which I really like.
It’s one of my personal favorite probiotic strains and has been used a lot in scientific research studies.
Lactobacillus acidophilus may potentially relieve the symptoms from gut dysbiosis, Crohn’s disease, and Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS).
Other studies show that it may help increase immune function, treat yeast infections, and lower the frequency of urinary tract infections (UTIs).
The second strain used in this probiotic supplement is Bifidobacterium lactis.
Some research suggests that Bifidobacterium lactis may help fight lactose intolerance and boost the immune system.
This strain may also promote healthy cholesterol levels, reduce diarrhea associated with antibiotic use, and ease symptoms from ulcerative colitis and celiac disease.

There aren’t any allergens listed, which is a huge bonus!

It’s also suitable for vegetarians.

A bottle of 100 chewable wafers costs $14.79.
It says to take 3 wafers per day, so you end up getting about 33 days worth of probiotics.
When you break it down, it works out to $0.44 a day to take this probiotic.
This is about average for a probiotic supplement, maybe even a just a bit cheaper.
It’s a decent value for the price but I’d rather spend my money on a probiotic that has a little more strain versatility and a higher CFU count.
Side Effects
After taking this daily probiotic for a while, I never noticed any negative side effects.
This is a definite plus!
This probiotic is on the gentler side and is really allergy friendly.
These points may play into why I didn’t experience any side effects.
Guarantee
After looking all over the Nature’s Bounty website, I couldn’t find any kind of guarantee.
This is a big let down.
