Tasty New Ways To Get Probiotics Into Your Diet Part 2
You may have seen my previous article about new products that contain probiotics (part 1).
If you haven’t read it yet, check it out here. :)
As I mentioned in that post, probiotics are popping up everywhere.
If you love probiotics even half as much as me, you’ll know how exciting this is!
Probiotics are my secret weapon to looking and feeling better, especially for dealing with my horrible Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) symptoms.
I recommend that you still take your daily probiotic supplements, in addition to any probiotic foods or even these new probiotic products.
If you need help finding the best probiotic for you, check out our list of the 10 best probiotics supplements!
So, let’s check out some more tasty new probiotic products.
1. Nomva Probiotic Packs
Nomva created unique, little refrigerated packs that contain organic vegetables, fruits, and of course, probiotics.
Each pack has 2 billion CFUs from the probiotic strain Bacillus Coagulans GBI-30 6086.
These packs are USDA certified organic, non-GMO, dairy-free, and have 4-5 grams of fiber per pack.
Nomva uses high-pressure processing technology (not pasteurization) to preserve the packs without compromising the natural nutrients.
They are super convenient and can make you feel like a kid again with their squeezable pack/pouch design.
The packs available are: kale, carrot, strawberry, blueberry, and apple.
They keep the ingredients very simple, which I like a lot!
For instance, the Kale smoothie pack contains: organic apple, organic pineapple, organic spinach, organic kale, and probiotic Bacillus Coagulans GBI-30 6086.
For 6 ounces, it costs $3.99.
2. Love Grace Probiotic Smoothie
This vegan smoothie uses the probiotic strain GanedenBC30.
I unfortunately can’t find how many cells are in the smoothie; it just lists the probiotic strain and states “active cultures”.
That’s a bit of a bummer not knowing how many are actually in there.
The smoothies contain 10 grams of plant-based protein.
They are also gluten free, dairy free, non-GMO, and USDA certified organic.
Some of the ingredients are: almonds, lemons, coconut oil, coconut nectar, golden flax seed, pea protein, and bananas.
A 16-ounce smoothie costs $10.00.
3. Lifeway Perfect 12 Kefir Probiotic
Lifeway puts an indulgent, yet healthy spin on regular kefir.
These kefir drinks have 12 live and active probiotic cultures, no added sugar, and are high in protein and calcium.
They are also gluten-free, 99% lactose-free, and are all natural.
The yummy flavors available are: key lime pie, apple pear cobbler, orange cream, and triple berry tart.
A 32-ounce bottle costs $4.39.
4. Attune Probiotic Dark Chocolate
Did someone say… chocolate?!
Attune has an antioxidant-rich dark chocolate bar with 68% cocoa content.
These bars have 6.1 billion brobiotic cultures (Bifidobacterium lactis HN019, Lactobacillus acidophilus NCFM, Lactobacillus casei LC-11).
The chocolate bars are dairy free and gluten free.
Attune makes two other probiotic chocolate bar flavors, which are mint chocolate and milk chocolate crisp.
Keep in mind that these need to be kept refrigerated.
A 0.7 oz. bar costs $1.99.
In Conclusion…
Food and beverages with probiotics are definitely exciting new areas.
If you’re looking for ways to spice up your daily probiotic intake, these could be some great options.
Be careful with new products, especially that have been heated because probiotics and heat don’t mix well.
Don’t forget to take your daily probiotic supplements, either!
Your belly will thank you. :)
