Overall Opinion:

Overall, I was not a fan of Perfect Origins PerfectBiotics (hence the 1 out of 5 star rating).

I was left confused and underwhelmed by this product.

I felt like I was on a wild goose chase trying to find out information about this product because they don’t readily list it on the box or website, something that makes me skeptical.

The whole experience was weird and left a bad taste in my mouth (quite literally — the drops tasted like watered down grape Kool-Aid).

Let me explain my reasoning for the 1 star rating…

You’re paying nearly $70 for 12 “extremely unique” probiotic strains, but you have no idea how many CFUs are in the product!

This is troublesome on many different levels.

I don’t want to purchase a probiotic or any product for that matter that I don’t know what’s in it and how much.

Also, the price point of this product is ridiculously high and unreasonable.

You’re left with little direction such as not knowing if it needs to be refrigerated or when the probiotic cells are good through (there isn’t even an expiration date on the box).

The directions say to take 4 drops, 2 times a day with a meal. For a greater effect, you can take up to 6 drops, 3 times a day.

I’m also puzzled because the website says that this 0.5 ounce bottle is supposed to last 30 days, but I finished mine in under a week!

What a disappointment and waste of money.

The saving grace with this probiotic is that at least it has a 60-day money back guarantee.

It’s also gluten free, soy free, wheat free, dairy free and vegetarian.

It states that kids under 100 pounds should take 2 drops, 2 times a day.

Overall, I would NOT recommend this probiotic.

The price is completely unreasonable and you are left without pertinent information such as cell count, storage directions, expiration date, and vitamin and mineral amounts.

The Details:

Ingredients/Strain Profile

Perfect Origins PerfectBiotics states that it contains “12 extremely unique” probiotic strains.

However, they never disclose how many live probiotic cells are in the supplement.

This doesn’t make any sense and raises questions in my head.

Nonetheless, of the 12-probiotic strains used, I do like Bifidobacterium longum because it has been shown to help with intestinal support and healthy immune function.

Bifidobacterium longum may also decrease inflammation within the body and on the skin.

This particular strain has also been studied to show potentially positive results regarding the treatment of constipation, inflammatory bowel symptoms and the prevention of high cholesterol.

I also like the addition of the strain Streptococcus thermophilus.

This strain may potentially help with reducing respiratory infections, decrease lactose intolerance, and lessen symptoms associated with leaky gut syndrome.

Streptococcus thermophilus has also been studied to show potential benefits in preventing kidney stones, increasing immunity, and reducing antibiotic associated diarrhea.

Allergy Concerns

More questions arise in regards to allergy concerns.

The actual box/bottle doesn’t explicitly say if it does or doesn’t contain major allergens.

Upon further research on the Perfect Origins website, I discovered that the drops are gluten free, soy free, wheat free, and dairy free.

The drops are also vegetarian and “all natural”.

I was happy to see that these drops are fairly allergy friendly but I would like to see that information readily on the box.

Other ingredients include:  Filtered water, Humarian Proprietary Blend: (Fermented probiotics, benzoic acid, tartaric acid, nicotinamide, pyridoxine, thiamine, calcium, cobalt, iron, magnesium, manganese, selenium, molybdenum, potassium and sodium).

A BIG red flag is that they don’t provide exactly how much of each mineral or ingredient is in the bottle or in each serving.

If you’re taking this probiotic along with daily vitamins, please be careful and make sure you’re not getting too much of any one mineral!

Price/Value

Perfect Origins PerfectBiotics costs an outrageous $67.00.

This comes out to $2.23 a day.

This is ridiculously priced and you only get a measly 0.5 ounce bottle.

Keep in mind that this is over 4x the going rate for probiotics.

In my humble opinion, this is NOT a good value for your money.

There are definitely much better probiotics out there, especially at more reasonable price points.

Side Effects

While taking PerfectBiotics, I didn’t notice any adverse side effects.

Thank goodness I didn’t get any stomach pain because that would’ve sent me over the edge!

My only side effects with this product was being upset, confused and in need of a refund.

Guarantee

The only saving grace to this product is its satisfaction guarantee.

If you want to take a leap of faith and purchase a high cost probiotic without even knowing what’s in it, at least you can get your money back!

Perfect Origins PerfectBiotics does offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee within 60-days of purchase.

Keep in mind that you do have to pay for the return postage.
