Overall Opinion:

Overall, I gave LES Labs Probiotic 12+ a 2.5 out of 5 stars.

This probiotic has some unique qualities about it, but had some troublesome side effects (at least for us).

The capsules are smaller than your average pill, so they’re easy to take.

The directions say to take 1 – 2 capsules a day on an empty stomach or between meals.

I do like the strain profile used in these supplements; they provide a solid 12 broad – spectrum strains.

The capsules are supposedly formulated with an acid-resisting delivery system.  This may help the probiotics stay alive and get past your tough stomach acid and into your digestive tract.

What I don’t like about these capsules is that you have to refrigerate them after opening to keep the maximum potency (NOTE:  on the bottle it says they need refrigeration, on their website it says they do not).

And my biggest downfall with this product is that it gave me bad side effects while first taking it.

For an entire week, I experienced a sensitive stomach and belly pain.  Definitely not good.

Overall, I think Probiotic 12+ is an average probiotic.

The Details:

Ingredients/Strain Profile

There are 10 billion cells in LES Labs Probiotic 12+ and a total of 12 probiotic strains.

Of note, I like the use of Lactobacillus acidophilus, because it’s such a tried and true strain.

This strain is actually naturally found within the mouth and digestive tract.  It aids in nutrient absorption and the break down of food particles.

Lactobacillus acidophilus has been researched to show relief from belly bloat, constipation and gas.

This strain also helps keep your bacteria levels in check, which helps regulate the immune system.

It may also help combat yeast infections and urinary tract infections.

A second strain that stands out in the probiotic lineup is Bifidobacterium breve.

Bifidobacterium breve has been researched to show potential relief for those suffering from Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) and Ulcerative Colitis.

This strain may also help with traveler’s diarrhea, lung infections, and eczema.

Bifidobacterium breve may also help some individuals with high cholesterol and those taking this strain after antibiotics may have a better rate of recovery in repopulating the good bacteria.

Allergy Concerns

LES Labs Probiotic 12+ appears to be allergy friendly.

I don’t see any potential allergens.

The only thing that might cause some people an issue is the use of white rice powder.

Rice may cause issues with some people, especially those with digestive problems.

The other ingredients used in the capsules are: vegetable cellulose, gellan gum, magnesium stearate, and silicon dioxide.

Price/Value

For a 60 capsule bottle, it will cost $29.99.

The directions say to take 1 – 2 capsules daily, so it ends up costing $0.49 – $0.99 a day.

By only taking 1 capsule daily, the price is a good value.

Taking 2 capsules a day makes it a bit pricey, compared to the average price of probiotics.

Side Effects

I did experience side effects while taking Probiotic 12+.

For the first week of taking it, my stomach was upset and sensitive.

I was less than enthused while having the side effects :(

I would’ve liked the product more if I hadn’t gotten sick from it in the beginning.

Guarantee

LES Labs Probiotic 12+ has a 60-day return policy that comes with a few “conditions”.

Normally, having any sort of guarantee or return policy makes me like the product a bit more.

This return policy has a few stipulations, though.

There is a $5.00 restocking fee for any sealed bottles.

Also, you can only return one opened bottle per order; additional opened bottles can’t get refunded.

Shipping costs will also not be reimbursed and no returns on subscription, bulk or wholesale orders.

This isn’t a great return policy
